Hustler N'ever

[ anna tsuchiya ] kuroi namida

Haven't played snooker at Hustler for probably just 5 weeks or 6 weeks? ...but it felt like I haven't played for ages... Even that part of the memories seemed so far away already (a sign of moving on? ...lolx!) ...Anyway, I was back to playing Snooker tonight and it's the first time we played 3 games in one night (a great sign of improvements... heeee!!!)

I figured a person's personality or character easily be revealed from playing Snooker (or any other games)... Just like those who plays Poker or Mahjong... I couldn't believe I saw so many flaws in him tonight... and I don't think I like him anymore... AH-HAHAHHAA!! ...(I'm serious ...I don't anymore!!)...

Well, I know nobody is perfect... but I personally couldn't tolerate someone who enjoy showing off and then have this proud and "oh-i-am-so-good-kinda-look" stamped on their face... For example, he was aiming at this pink ball and said, "usually it is really hard to get this ball into this pocket" and then he confidently hit that bloody pink ball into the pocket!! ...and then that "oh-i-am-so-good-kinda-look" would shows on his face while he walked around the table to have his next shot... Of course, the whole night I have told him off about his showing off character...

Another thing that I found it weird, was that he was so damn calculative... I mean, he really wouldn't give in any points at all... Even the guy who was playing at the next table looked at me and gave me this amusing smiled of what he over heard...

What happened was I accidentally hit a white ball straight into the pocket... and we forgot to add those points into his total and we played on until he suddenly remembered, and despite already had higher points than me by milesssssss, he still insisted to add that extra 4 points onto his total without waiving it off... (I honestly believe any other GENTLEMAN would have waived that 4 points when they play with any female or weaker opponent)... =/

Anyway, I think I have improved, that's why he felt threatened... AH-HAHAHAHA!! (yeah right!)

Clarity...

[ muse ] unintended

I've just realised that... I have mistaken "understand and accepting" as "positive"... No wonder I always felt that there's missing pieces somewhere or things just couldn't make sense...

This morning I woke up and thought things through slowly, about my approach of "being positive" and trying to find out what went wrong... and I smiled... as with the help of the "Law of Attraction" and "The Buddha, Geof and Me"... I finally understand that, I am actually killing myself with the way I used to think...

There's a sense of clarity within me now... as the more I understand... the more I liked the way how everything just so make sense...

I am happy today, as I found the light... the clarity... the answer... and the meaning... =)

Melb Food & Wine Fest - Cafe Di Stasio

[ nat king cole ] l.o.v.e

It's Melbourne Food & Wine Festival... Many restaurants offer special menu for bargaining price... Absolutely a great chance to eat great food... hehe...

We went to Cafe Di Stasio at Fitzroy Street, St Kilda for 2 course meal ($30) today... It has this Tuscany type of decorations (the wall and the wall lamp status) and the waiters all stand very straight and extremely professional... Though it is not a very spacious restaurant, the dim atmosphere gives us a very comfy and classy feelings...

Once be seated, every table will be given a bottle of imported water (which you'll find out it's been added onto your bill end of the meal... hehe... *evil smile*)... Well, we all decided to have Entree + Main Meal... so that we could go somewhere else for Dessert... hehe... Smart yeah?! ...*wink*...

Hmm... The food was not too bad and it's small portion (but we still came out feeling full)... Not a "wow" factor kinda food, but we don't have any complains neither...

Anyway, the only eye-popping thing was the bill that shows the 2 bottles of water were almost $10 EACH!! ...!@#@#$%... No wonder the waiter kept asking us if we still want more water all the times... hmmmph!!

After that we went to The Old Paper Shop Deli at South Melbourne for a cuppa and desserts before shopping around at South Melbourne Market... and visit the Chinese Temple at South Melb before we went home...

Kiroro - 長い間

[ kiroro ] 長い間

This is one of my all time favorite Japanese song "長い間" by Kiroro... Kiroro may not have a very outstanding appearance, but her beautiful and unique voice captured my heart...

Anyway, this beautiful song was "copied" by a Taiwanese singer and made it into Mandarin version... I heard my brother told me the other day, that Kiroro sang the Mandarin Version in one of her mini concert in Taiwan, and she still beat the Taiwanese singer by 100 miles!!! ...

To those who have heard the Mandarin version by the Taiwanese singer... Here's Kiroro's Mandarin version of this song! ... =)

(Note: Does anyone has the original piano sheet for this song? ...I wanna learn how to play this song toooooooooooo!!)

Skinny Dipping

[ 孙燕姿 / 蔡健雅 ] 原点

I wasn't feeling too well yesterday because mind was so worried over 2nd May... The memory was haunting me... the taste of it, the journey of it made me felt like vomit yesterday...

Today, I'm feeling great... I guess knowing what I need to do next is good... much better than not knowing...

Anyway, suddenly remember a friend told me about how they spent the bucks night last Saturday... It was so creative and so thrilled... They made the groom wear female dress and put on make-up and stood at the corner of Lonsdale and Russell Street holding a big sign requesting for free hug from female... CUTE! ...Then they went to St.Kilda Beach for skinny dipping!!! ...ARRGH!!!! ...Sound so fun!!!

Rabbit... I regret not going Skinny Dipping while we were at Great Ocean Road... Do you think you would do something like that spontaneously? ...I wonder who would join me if I suddenly strip myself bare and skinny dipping... hehehe... Anybody?! ... =P

Sometimes it's cool to do something crazy...

Piggy in your palm...

[ akon ] i wanna love you

It's not even a month since... our communication has dropped drastically...
We don't email like we used to... We don't sms like we used to...
We don't joke like we used to...
We don't see each other much like we used to...

You still sms me at night (except Fri/Sat) to remind me to sleep early...
You still shoot me extremely short email to say "HI" every morning...
You still burn me DVDs when there's some good movies/animes...
You still request me to make you Honey Lemon Tea occasionally...
You remember to send me the Origami I asked for a few weeks ago...
You always tell me you are holding the cute little piggy in your palm...

I have been so occupied with my own problems...
I probably have distance myself from you...
I probably have restrained myself from initiate to sms/email you...
But I have never failed to reply your email if you send me one...

Anyway, I know you miss me sometimes... so am I...
But the timing is just not right...
Sorry...

Expecting the expected...

[ mika nakashima ] glamorous sky

Sometimes when there's uncountable uncertainties... When we don't know our current condition or status... It is absolutely hard to make any decision based on all the unknown, isn't it?

Most of the times, we spend too much time trying to figure out what we want, and what's the best for us, and yet still couldn't come up with an answer... Well, instead of trying to figure out what we want or what's best... perhaps it's easier to work backwards - to find out what we don't want and slowly work out what's the best for us or what we want? ...

I don't want to regret one day for not doing enough... Regrets is not want I want... Hence, I have chosen to go down that path again... thinking about it already making me feel sick to the stomach and wanna vomit... It's not going to be easy, I know... and it takes a lot to be strong mentally...

I shall be fine... I will be fine... 3 months passes by quick... I hope...
It's only 4 times, this time round... I'll be fine...

Back To Deep End... Again!

[ mika nakashima ] hitoiro

Not feeling well today... Absolutely pissed off with everything...
This is the 2nd scan... and I know it's not going to work again...

My patience has been put to test and I have reached the point where I just feel so damn helpless... I have hit the point and I just hate the fact that I have to wait longer... I just don't know what to do...

Wait...Wait... Wait ...
How long will I have wait in order to get the damn answer in order to move on? ...

Endless deep end...

Almost Perfect Guys

[ edith piaf ] la vie en rose

Ever experience a number of good things happening to you that you actually couldn't believe that you were so lucky at that time? ...Ever experience bad things followed by one after another that you kept asking, "why me?"...Ever came across so many "almost perfect guys" within just a few days, that makes you wonder if your Mr.Right will appear soon? ...hahahha...

Lately, I noticed there's quite a numbers of "almost-perfect-guys" around me... They all suddenly crossed path with me this weekend... Actually they are all my close friends whom we don't often meet up (hence, "Almost-Perfect")... hehehe...

Anyway, I categorized them into great partner, great companion and great hubby type according to their personality and character... Unfortunately, they are just "almost perfect" to me... cos there's absolutely no sparks nor chemistry between us... =/

Perhaps it's never easy to move out from the so called "friend zone"...
Perhaps being friends and known each other for too long = No Sparks!?
Perhaps I am not even interested in moving out from my comfort zone... =)

Bluntness Friday

[ system of a down ] chop suey

Woke up so damn early in the morning and drove all the way to find out my scan appointment is actually on Monday!?! ...My doctor has been telling me it's on Friday Friday Friday... and I received the appointment confirmation letter, yet I didn't check if it was truly on Friday... AIKS!! ...Thankfully I didn't missed my appointment after all the mixing up!! ... *phew*!!!

I had a bit of time on my hand after work and I went shopping... Bought two working pants at REVIEW and my bank account hurts indeed... but when it comes to pants, I'm willing to spend cos I hardly find a perfectly fitted pants at all...

By the way, it's my mum's birthday but we didn't celebrate at all... We have arranged to go out for luncheon next weekend instead... =)

Anyway, I still feel the pain over "Bokura Ga Ita"s ending... *get over it, silly!!*

End of "Bokura Ga Ita"

[ gary jules ] mad world

Finally finished watching "Bokura Ga Ita" - the Japanese Anime that I am so fond of... It is such a beautiful Anime (artwork and story wise)... I like the fact that it is so simple and so beautiful and the narrations were so close to heart...

But but but but but... the ending... Arghhhhhhhh!!!! ...I have been raging over and over again to my friend (who recommended this Anime to me)... I don't understand why would the writer wanted to end it that way... Perhaps they wanted to make a mind blowing and heart wrenching to all the viewers so that we all will forever remember this piece of work hey!? ...

I haven't watched an Anime that made me feel this way...
I actually cried over the ending... It was so... so real...

"Bokura Ga Ita" - He and She were 15yo...
I can't wait for the story about them when they turned 21yo to be released in July...
I can't wait... I can't wait... I need something else to divert my attention from this... URGH!!

Sydney Trip (10-13Mar)

[ 温岚 ] 爱回温

.......................................................
Sydney - Day 1 (March 10) :-
.......................................................
Arrived at Sydney airport at 8.45am and wait for Kelvin before we went to my friend's place... Happy Brandon still look pretty much the same as I last visited (6 months ago)? ...Brandon is now 9months old and he craws and he smiles!!! ...So cuteeeeeeeeeeeeeee....

We went to Fish Market for fresh oyster, and prawns and seafood platters to indulge ourselves... The last oyster I had was a bit off, but overall the food is good and the atmosphere was great!! ...Sydney's Fish Market located right at the Bay and watching over the boats and sea and the ANZ bridge and of course the beautiful day with lotsa sunlight was the bonus!! ...

We then went separate ways as the Yoon Family needs to take some rest... and they dropped us off at Pitt Street & QVB (Queen Victoria Building) where we could do some window shopping! ...We then walked to Chinatown before catching the train back to Paramatta to get changed and ready for dinner at friend's place for dinner...

After dinner, we went to have the beautiful pie and hot dog at Harry's Cafe de Wheels at Cowper Wharf Roadway, Woolloomooloo... I think they have the best Pies and Hot Dog in the world... hehehe... This is one of the MUST GO and MUST TRY on my list if you ever visit Sydney... =) ...Anyway, it was nearly 2am by the time we got home and went to bed... Such a full on 1st day for all of us... =)

.......................................................
Sydney - Day 2 (March 11) :-
.......................................................
Everyone woke up late... and went to Marigold at Chinatown for YumCha... I thought I wouldn't enjoy YumCha (cos too much of it the previous months?) but I actually enjoyed it very much!! ...Great food there and some that we don't have in Melb at all... very interesting indeed!

We then took the Monorail and sat in there for one full round just to sight seeing before we got off at Central Station near Pitt Street to walk to The Rock from there...

There's Sunday Market at The Rock and I love it there and I can never get sick of that place... I didn't walk with my friends because I just wanted to enjoy the experience by myself... slowly browsing and taking my own time... I bought a big ring that made of shell... I wanted to get the wooden ring too but I guess I forgot to make my way back to the stall after browsing around... =/ ...next time shall go back and get more funky stuff!!

Anyway, the water front and the wharf at the back and the view of Sydney Opera House, and the view of Harbour Bridge is just so beautiful... We took the Ferry to Darling Harbour and again, I separated myself from the group to sit on the upper deck to enjoy some quiet moment and let the wind blows my troubles away... I enjoyed the Ferry trip soooooooooo much... peaceful and zen moment... hehehehe... of course the scenery is great... Shall do another Ferry trip next time I visit Sydney... =)

We got off at Darling Harbour where we had our yummy cakes and chocolate drinks at Lindt Chocolat Cafe! ...First in Sydney and I wonder when will they have one in Melb!? Walked around Darling Harbour and took some funny photos... =) ...Baby Brandon is cute, ain't he?! ...

Well, after all that, we went to Pancakes At The Rock (at Northmead)

.......................................................
Sydney - Day 3 (March 12) :-
.......................................................
I spent the day running in and out from the bedroom and the bathroom... DIARRHEA!! ...

I was feeling very worn out too after the full on and late nights the previous two days... Meant to meet up with another 2 friends today for dinner, but I couldn't make it... Felt terrible as I was actually looking forward to meet up with them... Alas!! ...I guess there's always next time, yeah? ... =/ ...

Anyway, I couldn't remember much about what I did that day as mostly spent indoor... kekekeke... and the HIGHLIGHT of the day was dinner... Brandon's dad made great porridge!!! ...I normally don't refill porridge but I had 2.5 bowl that night!! ...YumYum... Next time shall request him to make yummy Porridge for supper next trip... muahahahhaha!!!

.......................................................
Sydney - Day 4 (March 13) :-
.......................................................
Woke up early and started to pack up cos we had a flight to chase... The long weekend went by so quick... It doesn't felt like it's the 4th day at all... Hmmm... Definitely will come back again to visit Baby Brandon... =)

After we left Sydney... I heard Baby Brandon cried so hard...
I guess he missed us already... =P

.......................................................
Final Note:
.......................................................
I haven't visited all those places for ages... So many young couples (students) walking around... Reminds me of those days when I used to live in Sydney... Walked down all the roads and buildings... Old memories and feelings started to emerge... The buildings still standing tall, but we are so different now...

Sydney - A city where my love and hate collides...

Bokura Ga Ita @ We Were There...

[ system of a down ] aerials

I have just started watching a Japanese Anime called "Bakura Ga Ita"... It's such a beautiful anime and I enjoyed it so much that I actually wished that I didn't have to fly to Sydney for the long weekend (so that I could continue to watch the whole 26 episodes during the weekend? ...How sad huh!! ...haha) ...

Anyway, I stayed up until 1.30am and reluctantly went to bed, because I have a morning flight to catch at 7.15am!!! ...ARGHHHH... =/

Disappointment + Deep End

[ my chemical romance ] welcome to the black parade

I've been waiting for today for the past 3 weeks as today was meant to be the judgment day...

It is essential to stay relax and calm in order to get the body scan done... I walked in feeling quite relaxed, until the nurse using the baby needle to find my vein without any success... Well, try imagine having someone to poke the needle a few times and see if you could still remain calm and relax!?! ...Anyway, she ended up getting the Doctor to come in and help her out...

The rest was normal and not worth mentioning... and I went to work as usual with butterflies in my tummy as I know I'd be able to find out the result as soon as late afternoon... Patiently worked through the day in the office, and went for my late afternoon appointment to get the result...

As the Doctor called my name... I walked in and he slowly closed the door behind him and said to me, "Your scan result has came out but the scan result wasn't too good"...My heart sunk when I heard that because THAT sound pretty bad. As my eyes was about to produce some liquid... I heard him saying, "Don't get me wrong... the scan result actually wasn't clear enough for us to analyse because you wasn't relaxed enough... it's not that your result is bad at all"... (I nearly fell down from the chair!!)... I'm back to SQUARE ONE!! ...

Oh well... another scan to be arranged in the near future, and that only means - waiting waiting waiting again... I don't like to wait... I am frustrated as I couldn't plan ahead since I know nothing at all... I just want to deal with it so that I could move on... ahhh...

I guess the only positive thing come out of this is that I could probably enjoy my Sydney Trip coming weekend... I guess?

Déjà Vu

[ Kouya Ruten ] Bakumatsu Kikansetsu Irohanihohento

Spent almost the most day watching Animes (Bakumatsu Kikansetsu Irohanihohento (BKI), Nodame Cantabile, Death Note) and practicing Canon-D again and again (finishing Page 2, finally!!!)...

While I was watching BKI, I thought the theme song sound very very familiar... I have heard it before but I couldn't remember where or when... It's such a strange feelings... Déjà Vu... I thought...

And guess what? ...Around late afternoon, friend called to see if I wanna go out and watch movie... We checked through the list of movies and decided to watch Déjà Vu... What a coincidence hey?! ...(but coincidence is just an effect where we can't see the connecting cause... I think... as they only happens because of cause and effects... blah blah)...

Anyway, I must say of all the time travel movies (Butterfly Effects and etc), Déjà Vu seems to work for me... lolx... It's quite entertaining, though a little slow at the beginning... I guess it's just because we're all too used to those fast pace actions movie nowadays and we are becoming a little impatience to wait for the movie to build up the story slowly...

Attached George Winston (who re-arranged Pachelbel's original "Canon-D") who's playing his variation of the "Canon-D"... the piece which actually inspired me to buy the digital piano after more than 14yrs of not playing piano... I am still practicing (up to 01:48 fluently and still practicing up to 02:40 as many finger works there that I still trying to find the right fingers at right notes to move faster)...

Feeling So Worn Out

[ cake ] i will survive

Such a busy week... I am feeling so worn out physically and mentally...

My treatment has started since last Wed, and leaving work at 330pm everyday only means that I have less time to deal with my workloads... I was so stressed up at work due to it was end of February and we worked very hard to achieve the target... End of the month is forever like that...

Monday
- monday bluessss as usual... Came home and burn some CDs (Animes) for my toyboy...

Tuesday
- saw my oncologist and I think he was so honest that it didn't leave me much positive thoughts to go home with... Though he did say some positive stuff, but I think I had selective hearing that day, as only negative ones registered in my mind... =(
- came home after work and treatment, and rushed out to meet up with Rabbit's friend who came from perth for dinner... Brought her to Sozai & Stoker, the places which Rabbit missed out on during her last visit...

Wednesday
- had two appointments today and I had to wait so long for both due to the nurses was taking their time!!!! ...so upset with the 5 West @ Melb Hospital!! ...Anyway, spent my night practicing Canon-D, and started to work on the handmade A3 size card for my colleague as it's her birthday on Friday... It's been a while since I last made a card so big, and by the time I finished designing and sticked those paper cutout onto it, it was already way passed midnight...

Thursday
- I made my toyboy a big mug of HOT Lemon Honey tea to make up for not able to reply emails this week... I left a cute little handmade clay piggy for him too, which I bought it on Sunday @ St Kilda... Was meant to meet up with Rabbit's friend tonight, but I couldn't make it cos I was too tired after so many late nights...

Friday
- Tulla freeway was closed due to accident... Pascoe Vale Rd's traffic was so bad as we were still there at 845am (an hour!)... We decided to go to Niddrie to park the car at my colleague's sister's place, and took the tram to Essendon train station, and take the train to city instead... And by the time we reached office, it was 10am!!!!! ...To top it up, I had to carry the Black Forrest Cake for my colleague's birthday!! ...I only started to dig into work at 11pm because of morning tea and birthday celebration... 330pm rushed out from office for my treatment and I forgot to pass something to IT guy... What a day?!!

Ahhhhh... this week hasn't been that smooth and that relax to me at all... This weekend definitely need to rest rest rest and not doing anything... because next weekend, I'll be flying to Sydney to meet up my beloved Brandon for the loooooooooooooooong weekend!!! ...

Canon D Jam Session

[ elton john ] your song

What a closing for Sunday night playing Canon D with Brother!!

He played Guitar and I played on my digital piano... It was awesome!!! ...Even though I screwed up all the times near middle of Page 2 (yeah this is as far as I have learnt, dammit!)... but it's just feel so great when playing guitar and piano together... the adrenaline and the excitement hearing brother putting a few creative bits to harmonize the piece... Absolutely brilliant!!! ...I'm much more motivated to play Canon D now... so that we could jam next time!!!

Other than that... While I was driving down to meet up Kelvin this afternoon, Elton John's Your Song played on the radio... Gosh... The beautiful melody touched my heart till my heart aches... Sometimes, some songs at certain time make me feel that way...

Anyway, we went to have big breakfast at North Road near the beach (Brighton Beach maybe?!)... and walked around the Sunday Market at St.Kilda beach before heading to Station Street at Prahran... Such a lovely place... Bought a pair of sandals cos it was cheap and I needed a nice one too...

I felt so much better today comparing to yesterday... but as I was typing this, I learned that he went to Footscray Lunar New Year Festival today... I could have gone to that Festival too to close the chapter (as a whole complete visiting LNY Festival in 2007) but I didn't... I guess I was lucky that I didn't go, because if I did, my Sunday may not be as beautiful... maybe... maybe...

Sydney... I might come as planned... =)
Brandon... Your god-mother miss you soooooooooooo much!!!!

Even though this is all expected and in my plans... but I guess we can never plan enough... at least not feelings... nor emotions... nor the thoughts that still linger somewhere? ...

Watched "A Good Year"... Beautiful... Absolutely beautiful...
Watched "The Illusionist"... Brilliant... Absolutely brilliant...
Watched a bit of the Anime "Bakumatsu Kikansetsu Irohanihoheto"...
Watched "Arahan"... a substitute for "My Sassy Girl"...
Practiced "Canon D"...

The End and The Begining

[ 王菀之 ] 我真的受伤了

The week seemed so long, so dull, so slow and so low...
Our beautiful affair has finally came to an end today...

Our journey has been pretty smooth and cool from start to end...
...like it's meant to be...
If it wasn't becos we didn't have much workload end of last year...
...We wouldn't have had started the beautiful & excited affair...
If it wasn't becos of Lunar New Year and Valentine's day...
...We wouldn't have had so much fun and memories to remember...

This week, I have started my battle that I must face alone...
This week, you have to go back to where you belong...
And...
Our beautiful affair ended with the Honey+Lemon tea I made you today...

Game, baby... Game...

我的心开始想你了

电话响起了 你要说话了
还以为你心里对我又想念了
怎么你声音变得冷淡了
是你变了 是你变了

灯光熄灭了 音乐静止了
滴下的眼泪已停不住了

Slow Down, Monday...

[ 3 days grace ] pain

Took a day off for Lunar New Year... Feeling rather lazy in the morning (cos I still haven't started tidying my room!)... so I ended up spending most of my morning playing digital piano - Canon D!

During lunch time I watched "The Prestige" while having my lunch, but I just couldn't get into it at all... I think the weather was getting better and I just wanted to get out there to meet up with the Sun?? ... heeeee ...And off I went to High-Point to shop and I saw a pairs of white shoes, but they don't have my size!!! ...URGH!!)... I'll hunt it down in city this week...

I spent nearly 1hr ++ at Borders Bookshop... Enjoying a cuppa Latte while reading "For One More Day" by Mitch Albom... Managed to finish reading it while I was there!! ...The book is quite easy to read... I saw this book last week and the title captured my attention... Thought I should read a few chapters but to my surprise too I managed to finish reading the whole book!

Anyway, I bought "Tuesdays With Morrie" by the same author today... Gary's recommendation... and I read the first few pages, and I like it... I'm sure it's one of those book that I'd wanna keep...

I also bought "The Buddha, Geoff and me" by Edward Canfor-Dumas... Kelvin lend me this book the other day and I'm still reading it at the moment... I just couldn't stressed how much I love this book... I found myself so connected to Geoff (the person in the book)... It's a book full of gold... and I read it slowly because there's always things for me to digest and think before I move on to next page... I love this kinda books that makes me think... (just like "The Philosophy Gym" by Stephen Law... It's another book which make me think - in different manner!)

Anyway, I could see myself slowing down my life and started to do more reading again... I'll have more time for myself... I'll have more time for my body to recover... I'll slow down... I'll start doing some exercise (I went swimming today!!)... I'll start eating healthy... I'll start listening to my body... I'll start to be good to myself...

You know what? ...The word "BUSY" in Chinese is "忙"... and if we cut them into half and separate both character, it will read "Heart + Dead"...

Slow down... Slow down...
Slow down to smell the flowers...
Slow down to feel the breeze...

Lunar New Year - Crown

[ hinder ] lips of an angel
(Still loving this song... Still playing on my play list all the times... Still think he's an angel sent down to distract me from the living nightmares that soon to come...)

Today is the FIRST day of Lunar New Year!
Happy Lunar New Year everyone!!! 恭喜恭喜!! 恭喜发财!!

Lunar New Year doesn't mean too much to me nowadays, as we don't have any relatives/friends whom we could celebrate with... Every Lunar New Year would remind me of how fun and happy it used to be when we were still living in Msia. We had lotsa relatives and friends to celebrate with... We played firecrackers... We ate lotsa cookies... We worn our new outfit to welcome the New Year... We played card games and mahjong with our beloved cousins... We CELEBRATED with style!!

Anyway, received an sms and went out to meet up at 1230pm... Went to Crown Casino to check out the Lunar New Year celebrations... Not as good as the previous years... and it was too hot too (38 Celsius Degree again)... Went into Casino to walk around, and there wasn't any movies that suit our time... So we went back to Footscray to play Snooker again...

This time round I beaten him for once!! ...but that's because he gave me 20points head start and he actually set up a lot of balls for me to hit... So kind huh!! ...Anyway, I still need to work on my posture and aiming skills... I like playing Snooker than playing pool...

Well, we left around 5pm as he has family dinner to attend, and so was I... I actually didn't expect to meet up with him today, cos he has a big family here in Melb and today is the 1st day of Lunar New Year and he was meant to spend it with his family and relatives instead... but he came out to spend the afternoon with me... which makes me feel a very special indeed... =) ...

Coming week, I'll be starting my treatments and I believe things will start to change then... We, will change... I, will change... It's time to end the game this few days... cos I have already gotten more than I should have taken... and it's more memorable to end it when it is still at it's peak...

Lunar New Year Eve - Sunshine

[ hinder ] lips of an angel

Finally had the chance to watch one of the movie which I've always wanted to watch - Bichunmo. It was not as good as I expected it to be... Well, I probably should have watched it when it first came out during 2000... I probably would have thought it was good back then...

Anyway, I fell asleep a few times watching it on my comfy bed as the storyline is kinda predictable and it was so hot in Melb (38 Degree Celsius)!!

It's one of those day that I actually felt like I should have gone out instead of staying at home... Sorta suggested to a friend to go Crown Casino or BoxHill as there's Lunar New Year celebrations tonight... So off we went after dinner... It was crowded but there's nothing much to see though... Not as many stalls as the previous few years... Probably it was too hot, yeah?!

Received an SMS which made my night much more interesting... I drove to Sunshine to meet up and went to Sunshine's temple... It was so crowded as there's so many Vietnamese there... Squeeze into the temple to pray... Watched a little bit of Dancing Dragons and saw a little Fire Crackers...

Spending Lunar New Year Eve at Sunshine reminded me of Malaysia so much... Many families and houses light up Fire Crackers like nobody cares (it's actually illegal in Australia)... There was polices and securities making sure the traffic flows throughout the night, but they didn't bother the Fire Crackers at all...

I missed Malaysia's LNY celebrations...
I missed my friends, and I missed my beloved cousins...

Memorable Valentine's Day

[ hinder ] lips of an angel

It's Valentine's Day today!! ...Reached office and handed out all the beautiful roses to all the girls in my Dept as well as my manager, Wendy and Elaine... They loved it!!

Well, I left office during noon for another appointment... Went to the wrong hospital and had to rush to the correct ones! ...How careless huh!!!? ...Anyway, as I expected... I wouldn't know what kinda arrangements until PET scan result comes out... and the appointment for PET scan is March... *sigh*

Anyway, I didn't manage to give him a rose last night, and I didn't feel like giving him today at all... It's like THAT spontaneous moment is long gone and I don't feel right to do it anymore, even though he said he'll wanna have it if it has rotten or overdue...

I told him I was leaving work early cos I had an appointment... and that's when I found out he actually sent me flowers but the delivery hasn't arrived... What a pity... He wasn't very happy and that's when I decided to buy some Sunflowers (everyone knows I love Sunflowers and that shall remind him of me! ...haha)... And then NEW IDEAS started to flow in... (Special thanks to Kelvin for helping me arrange the beautiful Sunflowers)

Anyway, to cut the story short... I told him I was going to leave "something" on his car so that when he could get it when he finished work... Due to traffic jam, I thought I wasn't going to make it to his car before him did, as I wasn't that familiar with how to get to his train station... Anyway, I was pretty lucky that I made it and got there early... *woohoo*... I then put lotsa Yellow Post Notes to stick around his car with some instructions to where to find the "thing"... and I drove to the side lane to hide... hehe

He arrived 5 mins later (the time was indeed so tight, that I had butterflies in my tummy!!!!)... He called me on the phone, and we both laugh becos he was quite surprised to see his car was full of Yellow Post Notes... Quite a scene and lotsa people turning heads... haha... And he started to look around his car, up and down and below to find the thing I told him I left for him... and he kept telling me on the phone that he couldn't find it and asked if it was possible that someone has took it? ...I was hiding nearby and I was laughing hard cos it was hilarious to see him kept looking underneath his car and around his car like a lost soul...

Unfortunately I couldn't use my phone to take photos or video at that moment because he was on the line talking to me while doing his search... URGH!!!! ...Anyway, I then slowly walked towards him and had my Sunflowers hide behind my back... As I walked closer, he then saw me... and we both laughed and I gave him the Sunflowers and he gave me a big warm hug... People was watching, and one driver drove pass and honked us... I'm such a genius romantic, ain't I!!!? ...

Anyway, we stayed there and talked a little before we both went separate ways... It's a cool Valentine's Day... I'm sure we all have had some memorable ones in our past... but this year to me, is the most memorable ones, because I've never done something such cool before, and the funniest thing is that... we are closed but we are not lovers... and I'm loving the fact that we are not lovers but we could do things like this without any worries... =)

I guess we are a little bit like the movie "Love Me If You Dare" (original French titled "Jeux d'enfants")... We both do challenge each other at times and it's always game times... as it's the journey that counts... =)

Valentine's Eve

[ beyonce ] irreplaceable

Left work early for an appointment...

Quite uncomfortable knowing too much details... understand more of how it travels... understand the chances... and knowing what's the worst outcome... yes... scares me...

There's more arrangements and busy schedules in the coming weeks and future... I'm fully prepared... Just couldn't wait to start all that so that I could feel good again...

Went to buy a bunch of Roses because tomorrow is Valentine's Day, and I wanna give all the girls in my Dept one each... For I love them to bits and i hope they'll find love soon!! ...(all of us are still single, and only one 23yo is married)...

Good food comforts me... We went to Malaya Inn at Doncaster for dinner... I was fine, I am prepared, I am good, and I am full after dinner... yet my body didn't feel that way, as my tummy upset again... I guess my body and my mind doesn't agree at all... I guess I must have boxed my emotion and feelings away from my mind, but deep down I'm still feeling upset and nervous, hence my tummy hasn't been feeling well? ...hmmmph...

Suddenly wanted to pass him a rose... It was a spontaneous thoughts... It's too risky to pass him a rose tomorrow (Valentine's Day)... Hence, if not now, then never... I thought... and unfortunately, he couldn't come and pick it up due to he was somewhere else with his dad fixing something... Oh well, it's not meant to be then... =/

Arrived home, dad saw the flowers that Kelvin gave me (beautiful Roses)... and he told me there's some more in the living room... "Some More"?? ...I didn't get it... So, I went to living room to find out what he meant by "some more"... Woooaah!!! ...Gerbera Bouquet!!! ...I didn't expect that!! ...It was from sweet Gerald... *^_^* ...He said Gerbera was the closest to Sunflowers that he could find... =) ...Thanks Gerald... (Now everyone knows you sent me flowers... kekekeekeke... *bleh*)

Lunar New Year - Springvale

[ my sassy girl ] i believe

Woke up pretty early as I was excited about today! ...Anyway, we met up at 12pm and off we went to play snooker at Footscray... I did quite well (thanks to my friend great skill in hitting the white ball into the hole... hiak hiak hiak!)... but the 2nd game, I was trashed badly (I think my points were less than 10)... ish! ...

After the game we went to Chadstone to shop... We went to Sushi Sushi for sushi and just as we sat down and he was about to have his first bite of the sushi, I asked him a question and he had to stop putting the sushi into his mouth and answered me.. and just as he started to put the sushi near his mouth again, I shoot him another question, and again he had to stop and answered me... I think I repeatly asked him 5 questions until he stopped and asked me if he could take the 1st bite of his sushi first before I asked any more questions!? ...lolx... OMG! ...That was hilarious and we both laughed so loud till everyone was looking at us... *aiks*

We went to shop around after we bought the movie ticket "A Night At Museum"... and we bought the very unhealthy Krispy Kreme... Yum Yum but I only had one cos I was pretty full from Sushi... The movie alright as it's a kiddy's movie...

I guess it was round 6pm that we started to go to Springvale for Lunar New Year Festival... It was so crowded and we had to park the car at the race course show ground and paid $5 entrance fees (what the hell?)... It was definitely better than the Richmond LNY Festival last weekend... Bought some food to eat and squeezing in the crowd like Sardine Fish... Played some stupid funfair game and won a white rose that made by some soft material...

1st time being carried up and nearly being thrown into the bin, thankfully the bin's lid was closed!!! ...How to get away with it? ...Well, you think my big mouth only for eating great food? ...Nah, you're wrong... I bite too... and I bite people hard! ....kekeke...

Well, had some junk food there and head back to Melb cos we had enough of the crowded place... Drove to the Temple near Sunshine to have a long chat... There was only a star in the sky... Saw a Rabbit... The joke of the day was -- Van & Hatchback...

And the highlight of the day goes to... the long heart to heart chat under the sky that had only one star shining upon us...

Unpleasant Result...

[ gwen stefani ] wind it up

Busy occupying myself with all the files in front of my desk the whole morning... Trying to stay calm and focus, yet preparing myself for the phone call that I had to make in the afternoon to collect the result...

Struggled to make the call... Tummy upset... Hands shaking...
Mind was soooooooo calm, yet body reacted totally opposite...

Result was told through the phone... busy making a few more calls to arrange further appointments... Updated my manager and agreed to let my team leader knows... Totally feeling well and calm at that point of time...

Finally came back to my own desk and let all information sunk in... Started to feel sick to the stomach... until I received the email from my team leader that my eyes started to fill with tears... Hold it back... Hold it back... Look up the ceiling... Dry up dry up... I tried and tried... but I broke down when a lady from another Dept walked pass gave me a big warm hug (cos she thought I was upset due to workloads)...

I went down stairs to get some fresh air... Felt so much better... Felt so bad to make the girls in my Dept worry about me, yet I couldn't tell them what was wrong... I... Don't want them to treat me any differently... Too much love, too much caring, making me weak... I have to be strong...

Just as I turned around and walked back to the building... I heard a loud whistle... Turned around and there he was, smiling... His smile was contagious... He noticed I cried before and he didn't ask... We went into the lift and didn't press the floor number... Joke a little and he squeezed my face so hard, I smiled... I felt so much better then... Sometimes I wonder if he was another angel who was sent to my rescue...

Came back to my Dept and apologized to the girls...
Talked about other things and everything went back to normal again...

Felt much better for having the chance to cry a little... That was the down point... but I managed to climb back and accept my destiny and prepare for the battles...

Lunar New Year - Richmond

[ ost my sassy girl ] i believe

We met up at 2pm and went to Brunswick to walk up and down as my friend has never been there before... The weather was HOT and it wasn't that pleasant to walk and shop as both of us sweat like mad...

Checked into this Cafe to have some desserts and drinks (he had pancakes + iced lemon tea, I had Peaches in Yogurt Red Wine Sauce + mango&strawberry juice)... Very Yummy... Had his first bite cheekily...

Had a bit of time on our hands, we went to play pool at Footscray... A smoke free pool playing place where there's not many people at all... I actually enjoy playing pool but I don't get much chance to learn as I don't have many friends who plays pool at all..

Anyway, we then headed to Richmond as there's Lunar New Year Celebrations. It was extremely hard to find parking there. And I guess it's nearly dinner time and there's more people coming out to join the festival and have dinner there (cos Richmond is not only a Vietnamese area, but its full of Asian restaurants)... We squeezed in the crowd to check out the food around... I was exhausted cos it was HOT and there's so many people, and the heat from the hawker stalls' cooking... I think I nearly fainted due to the heat... Luckily we stopped at the end of the road and sat on the floor to rest a while before we went into this restaurant to have dinner (there's air-condition inside!!!)

It was nearly sun sets when we came out from the restaurant... We then bought some Sweet Corns to chew while continue to walk up and down... Not many handsome guys to check out, not many pretty girls neither... I think both of us were the most pretty and handsome one out there (*cough*cough*)... hahahaha...

Due to we both had to work the next day (Monday), we didn't stay there long at all... We went home around 9 or 10ish... Very tiring... The outing wasn't too bad, but it was not as relaxed especially knowing the next day is Monday and its such a long week to go before next weekend comes... sigh!!

Breaking The ICE

[ dixie chicks ] not ready to make nice

I reckon the best way to break the ice, is to be honest and invite the others to come into your world... Let them take a day tour to explore what's in your mind... and allow them to see the views from your angle... Misunderstanding would easily be avoided if we care and we dare to open up our world for everyone to come in...

Sometimes being honest and express our feelings could be a suicide attempt... but to be true to yourself and your own feelings, will do you more good eventhough things may go wrong... and it's definitely worth it... =)

It'll take some times to recover and get back to the same old level... but I'm not ready to make nice yet, not today... but the progress is good... and I love this song by Dixie Chicks!!!

Perfect Gift for Dad

[ paul anka ] put your head on my shoulder

Went YumCha with friends (TJ, Mike & Angie) at the same place I went yesterday with the gays... hmmmph... and I was 30mins LATE!! ...hee... (Seriously, I'm afraid of YumCha now, and I thought I wouldn't "Yum" more "Cha" after Florence left, but see what happened? ...Now getting sick of it, really!!)

Anyway, it was great to have finally caught up with the group... TJ is going to Europe soon, and I envy him a lot!! ...How I wish I could go traveling for 4 months without worrying about my job and my bank balance like him!!! ...Grrrr...

Later on, I met up with Bro and Winnie, and started shopping in the city to hunt for Tissot!! ...and we FOUND IT!! ...It was our lucky day too as there's 20% discount as well!! ...And now we're thinking about getting the same matching Ladies watch for mum since her birthday is in March!! ... =) ...Anyway, the most important is that DAD LIKES THE WATCH A LOT!!! =))

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Throughout the whole long weekend, I was feeling a little hollow inside... but I finally came to accept that "change is the only constant thing"... and I started to feel calm inside and accepted the reality... BUT at night, I received an EMAIL which messed up my calm and peaceful world again!! ...I was feeling frustrated cos I tried hard to get over it during the weekend and I finally felt so much better, yet an Email suddenly ROCK my thoughts again and put me back into the deep end.. I actullay had to play Piano to distress and detox... lolx... Came back with a clearer mindset and I replied the Email and expressed my thoughts and got things out of my system...
What a relief!! ...I had a really good night sleep then!! ... =)

2 Gays, 1 Girl, and the Cookies

[ lily allen ] smile

Climbed out of bed at 945am while my eyes were still not fully opened... How I wished I could sleep moreeeeeeee... but I promised the gays we'd catch up and go Yum-Cha... as it's been quite a while I haven't seen Andy since he last came to Melb...

Anyway, there was a bit of dramas but we all still managed to meet up as planned... doesn't matter what happened as long as it was a happy ending... Hehehe!! ...After Yumcha, the gays and I went to this pub called Cookies. It's another cool and cozy place in the city to hang out during day time (night time would be too crowded)... We had a few drinks while sitting at the dark secret corner, and bitching about all everything and chat away the afternoon...

I then went to High-Point to check out more watches... Didn't see Tissot Platinum model at all... So I went home to have dinner... and while online, Gary suggested to watch "The Fountain"... So I went all the way back to High-Point again to catch the movie... and both of us came out from the movie not knowing what was it all about... hmmmph!! ...Too confused, too deep, too abstract... ZzzZzzzZzZzzz....

Australia Day

[ australian ] waltzing matilda

A public holiday for all of us... And the weather was absolutely beautiful!!!
Initially I landed myself a DATE, but due to I was being too straight forward over something (I was brutal in his point of view), things turned Pear Shape!!

It was great to have spent the day with Winnie and Silvia shopping at Chadstone Shopping Mall instead... Though it was a waste to stay indoor when the weather was sooooooooooooo beautiful... but I needed to find a present for daddy... so no choice!! ...

Brother and I have decided to get a watch for daddy, but we still yet to browse around... and most of the watches I saw at Chadstone are quite nice... I had a hard time picking... not until I laid my eyes on the Tissot Titanium model... It's such a simple and classic design yet it just stood out like it was calling out my name... hehehehe... I sms my brother the model of the watch, and he went online to check it out and he likes it too!!! ...Yeay!!! ...

But due to this was the first day I shopped for Watches, I thought we should have checked out a few more shops and not rushing into buying one so soon... (it ain't cheap also ah!!)

We ended our day with dinenr at Pancake Parlours (Hight Point)... and watching BLUE CRUSH on TV... What a day!!! ...I did feel a little hollow inside due to it could have been a DATE today, on the other hand, I felt very happy as there's progress on searching dad the best gift!! =)

Daddy's 60th Lunar Birthday!

[ everybody ] happy birthday to the most wonderful dad in the world

60th is a big birthday... We should have celebrated dad's birthday with STYLE!! ...but but but but... Well, we don't have any relatives nor many family friends in Melb, and Dad prefers a simple family dinner... So we went to the best Malaysian Restaurant in Melb to have the big big feast!!

5 of us polished up 7 big yummy dishes!! ...I've never been so full since this year (haha!) as I was the last to put down my chopsticks... hehehee.... How could I resist great food like that!? ...Impossible!!! ...

Dad cut the cake at home and I was the only one who still could fit a slice in my mouth (cos they were too full?!)... Hmmm... No matter how full I was, there's always space for cakes... especially Black Forrest Cake!! ...very very yummy indeed... Even mum thinks so too (she's the most picky amongst us!)

One thing that is missing... A present for dad!!! ...
Well, we will start shopping during the long weekend... WOohooOO!!

Misunderstanding...

[ pon & zi ]

My feelings right now... just like the Emo-cartoons...

Lack of communications...
Not open up to each other "enough"....

Too Late...

[ 古巨基 ] 愛得太遲

Rain a little this morning... Miserable feeling...
Heart sinks deeper every seconds... Feeling hollow... a sense of losing...
It's already too late to say sorry... as things wouldn't be the same...
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Close friends drifted apart due to hardly catch up...
Never notice the wrinkles of our parents as we're too busy with our own lives...
Too busy with our career...
Too busy for our own health (when was the last time you slow down?)...
Too busy to watch the movies we collected...
Too busy to express your love for someone...
Wait till next time... Wait till we have time... Wait till tomorrow...
What if it's too late to love? ...
What if it's too late to regret? ...
What if we have missed the moment just like we missed the wrinkles of our parents?
What if there's no tomorrow? ... and what if we have missed the moment??

In Love with His Talent

[ jerry c ] marriage d'amour

I found another AWESOME! AWESOME piece which is re-arranged by Jerry C... This is one of my all time favorite piece as well, as I grew up listening to the piano version by Richard Clayderman... Anyway, I have been watching the "Canon D" and "Marriage D'Amour" by JerryC repeatly, and everytime I watch it, I get butterflies in my tummy and I could just feel the energy intensely growing inside me and felt like I wanna jam along and explode toooo...

To all my secret admires (if I even have any??)... You'd better master Piano or Guitar playing to impress me... *muahahahahhahaha*

Talented Intrument Players

[ jake shimabukuro ] while my guitar gently weeps

I have never heard this song by The Beatles before, but Jake played it so beautifully... until my heart gently weeps...

[ jerry c ] canon d

While I am still taking my time learning Johann Pachelbel's Canon D (George Winston's arrangement), and I found this guitar version which is arranged and played by an extremely talented Taiwanese student JerryC (he's such a cutie, isn't he??)... Ever since then Canon D in rock version is born!!!

Theme Party "W"

[ the beatles ] white my guitar gently weeps

It was a great party... Fabulous food, nice big tend at the backyard, the one man band plays awesome classic rock songs and he did pretty well on Hotel California... Theme party rocks!!!!!

My first time going to a theme party which I only had one week to get prepared and searched for a costume that starts with "W"... Didn't manage to come up with any CREATIVE ideas like the others... and guess what? ...WATER MELON won the best costume!!! ...hehee... (No photos yet but I believe the birthday girl will send us the photo to show us next week!)...

There's many of my kinds at the party - Witches... Most of them looks wicked and scary as if it was a Halloween Party... hehee... and me the Good Witch (as my colleagues called me) casted two good spells on my two colleagues... Hope their hearts will mend and better days will come...

Visitor from Perth - Day 7

[ kevin spacey ] beyond the sea

Initially I planned to bring Rabbit for PuffingBilly ride but Rabbit seemed more into shopping at Brunswick Street so we changed the plans instead... Had big breakfast at one of the Corner Cafe (need to ask Rabbit what's the name of it) at Brunswick Street before checking out the shops.

Well, she bought some stuff for her friends and family of course... and guess what i found?? ...A very cool pants that I've always wanted for a loooooooooong long time... A timeless design... Unique cut that fits perfectly (perhaps 1/2 inch too long but that can be easily fixed)... BUT the price tag is also very very EYE-POPPING!!!

Hmmm... I hesitated a little after seeing the price tag, but I knew I would regret if I don't get it... and yes, it is now sitting in my wardrobe calling out my name to wear it one fine day!!! ...heeeeee... (And this was the Highlight of my day!)

We continue our shopping spree at DFO @ Spencer Street where Rabbit bought a very very beautiful bag for her friend Luyi... and she also bought some very pretty chocolates for her friends/colleagues before we headed to Cuckoo Restaurant to feed our tummy...

As usual, I got lost driving to Cuckoo (getting lost has became a norm to me!!)... Anyway, I was a little disappointed that they didn't performed the song "Edelweiss", instead a Tom Jone's wanna-be sang a few songs... but the usual audience interacting performance were still pretty funny and entertaining as usual, especially the yodeling part (but this time round, there's a few didn't play along which was a pity!!)... I reckon the most funniest show was during the Sydney gang came for visit last year as it was hilarious!! ...

On our way back to Melb, we went into Xchange (Commercial Road) to watch the gays and show... We missed out the start but still managed to check out the hot bodies of the background dancers... Ma Ma Miaa... Fit Fit!! ...and the Queens has the perfect-10 legs not many female could even compete!! ...Anyway, I could not stop coughing and felt that my lung was badly harm for being in there 30-40mins or so... The smoke was terrible... No clubbing for me anymore!!!

Visitor from Perth - Day 6

[ 2fc studio dance orchestra ] b-a-double-l-double-a-r-a-t

Had a great night sleep at Sovereign Hill Lodge... Not sure if I snored... Anyway, check out this photo which we initially wanted to do... Ain't Asian looks funny dressed up like this? ...heeeee... Well, we made an appointment at Sovereign Hill yesterday to dress up and take these photos at 1130am but we realised that by the time they have developed the photos, it might be late in the afternoon!? ...and we didn't wanna spend more time at Sovereign Hill cos we have seen enough...

So we decided to check out the town centre of Ballarat as Rabbit also wanna get some postcards... Ballarat town centre has lotsa old buildings... We found a place to have big lunch before headed to our next destination - Kryal Castle...

It was such a warm day and there's so many flies... I hate flies!!! ...Anyway, Kryal Castle is a medieval Castle that offers "activities including medieval re-enactments, magic shows and Live birds of prey displays. Other presentations include costumes of the World, the largest display of arms and armour in the Southern Hemisphere, Medical Museum, giant maze, chapel ,torture chamber dungeons, comical graveyard, Magna Carta and more"...

Since we missed out the chance to dress up at Sovereign Hill earlier, we couldn't let go of another chance to dress up in mediaval costumes especially seeing so many visitors dressed up and walked around in the castles as noble ladies, the King and his armed guards...

Rabbit dressed up as the Queen, and she found her very good looking and very brave King-to-be in the castle!!! ...And I dressed up as a flower maid (which kinda look like a bride though cos all in white?) and I was rescued by the shining amour hero from the evil Queen (ah-hahahahhhaa!!!)....We had fun dressing up and that's absolutely the highlight of the day... kekekeke....

Anyway, we then came back to Melb and walk around at Williamstown before we headed to Brunswick Street for dinner at Cherry Lounge... It was Friday night and everyone was out for partying/dining... We then headed to Lygon Street for another walk before wethe night ends... (and Rabbit drooled over all the pretty desserts at Brunetti)...

Visitor from Perth - Day 5

[ 2fc studio dance orchestra ] b-a-double-l-double-a-r-a-t

Could not remember if we had breakfast before heading to Daylesford. And I also forgot to bring the address of the Lake House as I made reservation since Rabbit is crazy over The Lake House (which her handsome prince KR starred in). Anyway, the lunch wasn't too bad but we were under dressed. The bright side was that the weather was absolutely beautiful and sunny!!

As we drove to Ballarat, Rabbit said she couldn't get the "ballarat" song out of her head (cos that song was played so frequently on local radio station)... hehee... Anyway, we arrived Ballarat and checked into Sovereign Hill Lodge and browsed around the old cowboy gold mine town... Dinner and the night show was included. I had high expectation for the night show, but it turned out just alright (maybe because it was so damn cold and I was a little tired??)

(Anyway, more photo will be posted to online album soon! Stay tune!)

My Birthday!!

[ friends and family ] happy birthday to you (me!)

My Birthday!!! ...My Birthday!!! ...My very BIG Birthday and I fell sick thanks to Melbourne's extreme weather (4 seasons in one day!!) ...Thankfully I had the chance to sleep in until 12pm as I didn't have to babysit Rabbit cos she's out with her friend from Canberra! ...I woke up for light lunch and back to afternoon nap for another 1-2hours... And *woah-laaaa*... I felt so GREAT after that... Fully recovered and ready for my BIG day! ...heheeeee...

We first picked up Rabbit from city and boy, she looked pretty crook as well... I guess it's all because we didn't get enough sleep and been out in extreme weather for the past few days...

Anyway, we ended up meeting my parents at Box Hill before going into one of the Chinese restaurant at Box Hill due to our favorite Malaysian Restaurant at High Street was closed during Xmas/New Year season... And after dinner, we all went back to my place to sing me a Birthday Song and cut the Mango Gateau (thanks Winnie for the cake!!) ...Yummy!!!

I have received tons of greetings via SMS, Emails and received some lovely presents... perhaps I shall do a list like Cybreed... heeeeeeee... And here's mine:-

- Brother & his gf (Smokey Quartz ring & the Mango Gateau)
- Rabbit (Handmade bag, Klim'sNotebook)
- Luyi (Dragonfly Necklace)
- Elsa (Homemade Butter Cake, Beautiful handmade Necklace)
- Vivian Cheong (Beautiful Card)

Birthday Greetings from friends (via SMS/Emails):-

Xmas Greetings from friends (via SMS/Cards/Emails):-
- Khanh, Cybreed, Chung, Elsa, Kai, Aunty Margaret, Melissa Koh... (and maybe more...)

Anyway, I'm happy to receive so many greetings but in the mean time, I felt terrible because I don't think I remember most of their birthdays??? ...I realised I'm such a terrible friend!!! ... *sob*sob*... I shall take some time out to reflect myself and think about since when I have changed to become such a careless person... And of course to find out when is my friends' birthdays without them knowing !! ...heeeeeeeeeeee...

[ savage garden ] the animal song

We got up pretty early to get ready for our Open Vehicle Adventure at 915am! ...Despite losing our way to Werribee Zoo (it's kinda usual for me to get lost anyway!!), we arrived a bit early than expected... So we jumped for some great shots while waiting... (Rabbit sure knows how to jump for the snap!! ...heeeee)

The weather was terrible as it was raining and it was freezing cold by the time our adventure started... We sat at the back of the open vehicle suffering from strong cold wind as the vehicle moved into the first animal territory called Savanah Park (where we saw the muscular Rhinos hanged out with the beautiful Zebras and the elegant Giraffes... Was hoping the rhinos would come and attack our vehicle (yeah right!) but they seemed so tamed!! ...Anyway, we also saw Mongolian Horses and Hippos and Camels and lotsa different kind of African Goats/Deer (no idea what they called them!!)... No, the vehicle didn't drive into the big cat's (Lion and Cheetah's) territories... There's this tours called "Rip Roaring Feed" for closer encounter with the big cats... Perhaps we shall join that next time!! ...hohoho

Anyway, after the Open Vehicle Adventure, we spent some time walking around the Zoo... We saw Cheetah and Lions of course... Well, it's kinda funny cos I was checking out this separate small path next to the main walking area... It's a bush areas where the grass are so tall and the path was so winding, I couldn't see what lies in front of me!? ...Anyway, as I walked further by myself, I heard the Lion roaring SO LOUD like it was very angry that I entered his territory and was going to jump out from the bush and ATTACK me?!!!?... Of course I freaked out and RAN FOR MY LIFE without second thoughts!!! ...and as I ran out from the bush area, Rabbit caught me and laughed at me badly... And we then found out it wasn't a real lion that roars, it was just a sound effect thingy that they installed in the bush area to scare people!!! ...Grrrr... (Thank goodness Rabbit didn't take a snap of my freaked out expression as I ran out from the bush... hehehe)... Yeah that's the highlight of the day...

Anyway, we then went to the Werribee Rose Garden to take some photos as well as checking out the Werribee Mansion before we headed back to Melb for me to take an afternoon nap before meeting up with Rabbit's friend for dinner at 金鼎@Chinatown... They actually drove all the way down to Melb from Canberra just to meet up with Rabbit... How sweet huh!!!

Visitor from Perth - Day 2

Check out Rabbit's blog for the whole Day 2 in details... hehehe...
I must say I almost ruined the holidays for being so careless!!

Well, after YumCha @ Shark Fin House, I parked my car near Crown Casino and we spent quite a while in Crown for the beautiful musical decos and carols, and of course we couldn't resist the beautiful cakes (she had Chocolate Tiramisu, I had Strawberry Cheesecake) at Gecko... I saw Elsa and her hubby at Casino too (Melb is quite small, ain't it?!) ...

Anyway, we then walked along the Yarra River to South Gate, and from Art Centre & National Art Gallery to Federation Square, and she likes the old gothic designed building called "Forum" at the corner of Russel St & Flinders St... Took quite some photos there before we walked along Swanston Street to Chinatown to have some simple Japanese food before we walked back to Crown Casino to pick up the car...

As we approached nearer to my car, guess what I noticed?? ...I forgot to turned off the headlight!!?!! ...No doubt the battery was totally FLAT by then since it's been nearly the whole day we parked the car there... RACV's hotline advise that it would probably take 2 hours for the Road Side Service to come and assist us due to busy night... As we were waiting (probably just 10mins), we saw the RACV Road Side Service truck came by and guess what? ...They came to fix someone else's car not far in front of us!!! ...They said they'll come back to assist us after they have fixed the car in front... Thank goodness we didn't have to wait for 2hours!?!?! ....Happy!! ...hehehe... Anyway, I had my battery changed on the spot!! ...

Well, perhaps Rabbit brought me lotsa luck, because if we had waited for 2hrs for to get the battery fixed, I'm sure we couldn't make it to Werribee Zoo tomorrow morning for the Open Vehicle Adventure... hmmph... Ain't we lucky on X'mas Day?? ...hohoho...

Visitor from Perth - Day 1

[ liang jing ru ] nuan nuan

Woke up today at 5am to pack a few things before picking up Rabbit from the airport... Yes, I have a visitor and I have such a big responsibility now as Melb's reputations will be on my shoulders now... =P

Well, we were both pretty tired after coming back from the airport, and we tried to get some sleep? ...but my tummy couldn't stop making noises... At last we decided to get up and have big breakfast at St Kilda Beach as we could also check out the Sunday Market there... Anyway, the breakfast was great, and the market wasn't that crowded due to it was still early... We then went for a walk at the beach...

Since we were around the area, I decided to take Rabbit to Brighton to check out some colorful and pretty Bath Houses before we headed to Port Melb to check out Mirvac's townhouses... After that, we went to Williamstown via beautiful West Gate Bridge... Williamstown has a great view of the city from the opposite of Port Melb sea... but we didn't really get to walk around Williamstown due to too windy... We then went to Footscray to check out the Vietnamese community before we head home for another afternoon nap (for me only cos I was extremely tired)... hehe

I had 2 hours of Super Power Nap before we headed back to city for another drive... We went to Rememberance Shrine and took lotsa photos before we walked around in Botanica Garden... The weather became pretty bad and I was only able to show her around the city and Dockland by car... After that we went to Chinatown to have dinner and head home...

Covered quite a lot today actually... Let's hope the coming days would cover more (I doubt it, cos the weather is terrible!! ...Hail, rain, and extremely cold wind... and its Summer now?!! ...

First Cake of the year

[ jay zhou ] ye qu

Went for Yumcha with my ex-colleague just to catch up before Xmas or the year end... After lunch, we also spent a good few hours just to walk around the city (to burn some energy for eating so much?)... It's such a beautiful day...

Just right before we went our seperate ways, she took out a beautiful love shaped cake (which she made) and a birthday present for me from her car... I was so surprised!!! ...Very touched and speechless...

I truly appreciate the fact that she remembers my birthday, and I even feel more touched knowing she actually spent her own quality time to make me a beautiful yummy butter cake...

It's truly the thoughts that counts...
The effort that no better gifts could ever replace...

Thank you very much, Elsa sweetie... *muah*

My New Toy

[ kenny g ] song bird

The touch of it... the sound of it... the look if it... I'm loving every inch of it!!
I'm talking about the Xmas and Birthday present that I bought for myself -- Yamaha P70.

I've been playing for a few good hours every day...
I've been printing out so many Music Sheets that I have been collected all these years...
I wished I didn't have to go to work every morning, so that I could spend more time with my new toy... and I couldn't wait till I finish work every afternoon, so that I could rush home to practice the music I love...

I get this peaceful and relax feelings when I play piano... just like when I draw/paint...
It feels like I'm in my own world or in the "zone"...

Summer Night Market @ QVM

[ evanescence ] lithium

SUMMER has started and so is the Summer Night Market at Queen Victoria Market...It runs for 13 weeks only (every Wednesday night during Summer except 27th December)...

I usually would "at least" check out the night market once per year cos I love the Summer entertainment that is a little weird but fun and wonderful... There's many locally arts and crafts, young designers fashion and accessories, and some very innovative and unusual stuff that people could come up with, and of course the International Food stalls that freshly prepared all the yummy food on site...

Check this out! ...hehe... This is the new chinese food stall, but most of them who works there are not Asian... Their outfit are the brightest and their wok and wok-turner are so huge that they attracted so many people... Not many of them buying food there though (maybe not at that time cos it was still early when I got there)... heeeee....

Every year, I would try different food... Last year I tried Indian food, this year I tried Spanish food... I also bought a Turkish pan fried bread that stuffed with cheese and spinach! ...Very Yummy... Maybe next year I shall try some African food hey!? ...hehe

There's ONE thing that I MUST have whenever I go to Summer Night Market... That is -- the BEAUTIFUL cup cakes... OMG!!! ...They are sooooooooooooo pretty!!! ....There's many different flavors with different beautiful icing design... I always find it hard to pick one because I felt like I wanna have all of them... Anyway, this year, I had the Orange Flavour cup cake... It was not bad but last year, I had Sticky Date and it was Oh-So-Very-Nice!! ....

(Rabbit, during the 2nd week of your stay in Melb, if we come back early from our Great Ocean Rd trip, we might be able to go to Night Market the same day... =)

Holiday @ Work

[ thirsty merc] in the summertime

I think my mind has already took off for holidays without taking me... =/
Didn't even invite me to go along... *sob*sob*...

(Just testing to post blog from work... hehe)

Gary's Birthday

[ u2 & greenday ] the saints are coming

Saturday night I met up with an old friend as it's his birthday... We were lucky enough to catch the sunsets before having Mexican food at Williamstown... I was rather surprised that he's never been to Williamstown when he was studying in Melb more than 5 years ago...

Anyway, I bought him this cute little mango cake (yum yum!!!) as it's his first birthday since he moved back to Melb two months ago... Wishing him all the best and many happy and wonderful days to come!!

I like this blurry happy photo... =) ...cos it's very mango!!

Weight of the things...

[卫兰 ] 离家出走

I seldom listen to Cantonese songs...
Late last night a good friend in Melb sent me this song via messenger... I stopped what I was doing to listen to the song... and I liked it...Very melodic and beautifully sung by 卫兰...
I vaguely remember a colleague sorta recommended 卫兰's songs to me, but I gave it a pass... but when my friend sent me this song, I liked it...
We tend to listen to / take advise / willing to open for new things for those people whom we trust more...

I loves presents/gifts...
I receive a gift from a cool friend from Msia, I appreciate his thoughts and kindness... I know him long enough and well enough and I'm in the comfort zone to accept any gifts from him without feeling awkward... (*wink*wink*... more to come yeah?? ...heheheee...)
I receive a gift from a colleague yet that gift has became my heaviest baggage... because I not only cannot give him any kindness in return, I actually felt rather uncomfortable if I didn't make sure there'll never be more than just colleague or just friend between us...
Presents/gifts' value actually comes from the importance of the giver in our heart as it could be just a card from close ones, yet it is enough to warmth our heart...

Original DVDs...
I am not fuss about movies or Dvds... I couldn't care less whether it is an original or copy as long as it is not Telesync... cos I hardly watch a movie twice or thrice...
When it comes to movie that I really really like, I must have the original DVDs no matter how expensive they are... Friends have the original DVD and offer to burn me a copy? ...I still insist to have my very own original...
There's no significant difference between original DVDs and duplicate copies, but there's great differences if I truly like it.

All the matters might seem the same...
But it's our heart that weight them differently...
