Day Trip to Healesville & Eildon

The highlights of our day trip... The Hedgend Maze, The Eildon Dam/Eildon Lake, Mr. Ong, and the mystery of WHO stepped on the poo!! ...(Unfortunately, I only took some photos using my manual Pentax and I still haven't finished the roll of film yet... so no photos to show for now)...

We started off the day with getting ourself lost on the way to Box Hill... First, we turned into the wrong exit from Eastern Freeway, and after the big brunch at Box Hill, we couldn't find the right way back to the Freeway... hmm... I guess we were too busy bitching about everything to each other untill we lost our sense of directions... hahaha...

Anyway, we went straight into Hedgend Maze once we arrived Healesville... It was fun getting ourself lost in the Maze for the first 10mins, but we started to get a little frustrated and impatience as we couldn't find our way out... I think everybody shouted out here and there just to help each other out and it was pretty funny... and it took us nearly 30mins to get out from the maze... Some people actually get back into the maze soon after they came out, but we coulnd't be bothered going back in again... We had enough of getting lost for the day!

Just as we jumped into my car and about to head to Eildon... Something stinks so badly that we had to pull over the car to check WHO stepped on poos! ...Well, there were some soil stucked at the bottom of our shoes and the only way to find out was to smell and find out who actually stepped on it? ...It was hillarious, as none of us admitted we stepped on poos after smelling our own shoes, and so we had to smell each other's shoes to confirm... *lol*... The verdict was NONE of us had it!! ...Strange hey?? ...It was even more strange that stingky smell kept coming back on and off throughout the whole trip and it's still a mystery... (Our explaination was that the smell was probably so bad that it registered and screwed up our brain until we started to imagine the smell?!) ...A mystery that will never be solved...

Anyway, we reached Eildon around 3pm and we drove up to check out the wall of the dam... It was pretty scary looking down the wall (probably because I am severely afraid of heights?)... The scenery was so beautiful when looking far as Autumn leaves makes the area full of warm red and orange colours with some green in contrast... Didn't really have time to fish nor row a boat... Maybe we'll come back to stay overnight and explore the area as Eildon Lake is too big for a day trip...

Well, well... on our way back, we missed a turn as we were too busy bitching/gossiping about stuff (AGAIN!!!)... and then we saw a big truck caught on fire on the road side... All the hay on the road side was burning badly, and the smoke made the road visibility very low... (Melb radio station reported the incident too as we were still there, and I took a photo of it but not sure if it would turn out good)... Anyway, there was a little traffic jam on our way back to Melb, as I believe everyone was trying to get back to Melb after the long Easter break...

Anyway, reached home around 930pm and feeling tired, but I'm happy that we managed to do a day trip without wasting the Easter break... How I wished I don't have to go back to work tomorrow!! ... =/
